“Benvenuti!”

The Daniel Ferro Vocal Program and its group of talented artists reach an important milestone this year, the sixteenth consecutive season in Greve in Chianti. Each year they attract a large group of lovers of vocal music and opera, which fills the gardens and recital halls for five splendid performances for visitors and citizens of Greve and the surrounding area.

As the mayor of Greve in Chianti and a devoted lover of classical music, I have the pleasure with the entire community to extend a warm welcome again this year to Maestro Daniel Ferro, his wife Joy, their esteemed faculty and participants who have arrived from many parts of the world. During the next month, they are living and breathing the life of our community, by visiting shops, restaurants, museums, churches, and sharing the daily life of our citizens. At the same time, they are filling our piazza, castles and environment with the sweet sounds of music.

Therefore, for me it is a great honor to present these musical and cultural events of a high level not only to our residents but to our Italian and foreign tourists in order that they may experience and appreciate the music and art that was born in our beautiful Tuscan land.
